Pothos is an inside plant. It likes 65–85°F. Keep it away from cold drafts (AC vents).

Preferably place in-front of a south facing window.

Bright, indirect light is ideal — pothos is quite tolerant and can handle medium or even low light, though growth slows down.

Overwatering is the most common killer — root rot shows up as yellowing leaves and a mushy stem base. Let the top 3 inches of soil dry out between waterings, then water thoroughly until it drains from the bottom.

I often only water once or twice a month. The key thing to remember is that pothos can bounce back easily from underwatering, but it often won't recover from overwatering.

Pothos is a vining plant, so it can trail from a hanging basket or shelf, or be trained to climb using a trellis.

Pothos is toxic to cats and dogs. It contains insoluble calcium oxalate, which can cause drooling or vomiting. It's rarely life-threatening but can cause real discomfort.
